FOREWORD

The Far-western  University  (FWU)  was  established  in  2010  through  an  Act  of Parliament as a government funded university.  The central office of the university is located at Bhimdatta Municipality of Kanchanpur district. Since its  inception,  FWU has been striving  to  fulfill  its  responsibility  of making  higher  education  accessible  to  the  people  of  the nation in general and of the Far-western Province in particular. The FWU envisages six faculties covering different academic areas. However, the University currently offers Bachelors degree in Education (B.Ed.) and Master’s program in Education (M.Ed.) in faculty of education, Bachelors Degree (B.A.) and Masters program (M.A.) in Humanities and Social Sciences, Bachelors degree (BBS/ BBA) and Masters program (MBM) in Management at the fourteen Constituent Colleges scattered in nine districts of Far-Western Province, including Central Campus formally known as Siddhanath Multiple Campus, Mahendranagar, and quality assurance and accredited (QAA) affiliated college, the Tikapur Multiple College. The university offers Bachelor of Engineering (BE Civil) program under faculty of Engineering and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Bachelor of Computer Science and Information Technology (B.Sc. The University has started the B Sc Ag program at the premise of Tikapur Multitple Campus (TMC) as a faculty of agriculture with 100 students per year since 2075/76 BS. Overlooking the huge scope of academic development in allied branches of agriculture at Far-western Province, the Agriculture faculty of this university is planning to affiliate Bachelor and Master program in Animal Science, Fisheries and Forestry with compiled and integrated faculties in near future.

The objective of Agriculture Faculty of FWU is to provide high level quality education to general pupils on allied branches of agriculture through higher level educational institutions. Enhancement of the quality and standard education on competitive basis as per national level multi-university concept and making fair, discipline, result-oriented and robust academic and educational atmosphere of the country is the next objectives of the Agriculture faculty at FWU. Hence, the B Sc Ag courses approved by the Executive body of the Far-western University at present are published for the sake of its wider knowledge and information.
